Obviously the Cursed Cobra was not ready today as per usual I had parts deciding they wanted to be reattached. Did I mention I am starting to hate helicopters! However, as of this writing the AH-1W is in the high 90 percentile range of completion. Interior is touched up, Future sealed all the decals and two coats of flat varnish are applied. Most detail painting is mostly done and I'm hoping it will see the light of day (pictures in the gallery) sometime tomorrow.

Cheers,
Jan

Greetings All,

Happy New {modelling} Year, I finally got to take a couple of snaps of the RAAF 'Black Cat' so now that this {Queen} is finish, maybe with HQ IV, I can get to finish the RAAF F-111c.

your Cat looks absolutely cool!
I'm working to get the pictures of my Mercure airliner to the campaign gallery. Have a happy new year!

Et voilá, here is my finished Dassault Mercure.

As it was my first airliner (and probably the last...) I just missed the exact matching of the red line from the fuselage to the base of the fin, but anyway, I think my mother-in-law will be delighted to see it finished after all those years.
:-)

Happy New Year to all our members from Australia, just watched the splendid fireworks of Sydney on TV!

Hurrah! Managed to upload some phtos on the campaign gallery.
Problem came form the photo size, a mere reduction to 800mm and off they went. Kudos to our staff team helping hand

Looking forward to a 2014 edition of HQ

Happy new year to all

Well, the beast has been pretty much beaten! I am calling the Cursed Cobra pretty much done. I may in the future (after a much needed rest from it) add the missiles, or maybe not. After two previous HQ campaigns the third turned a charm. Oh, two pictures uploaded to the campaign gallery.

Here's a few images that I thought I'd share.

Happy New Year to ALL!

Cheers,
Jan

Bob,

Thanks for a good campaign and I hope HQ IV can be approved, as it will give me a chance to finish a few more and most of all that F-111c.

Bob, thanks for leading this one-- perfectly done!
Everyone did some great results!
Peter, that airliner sure looks sharp!
Mark, the flashy pre-war scheme is a real eye-catcher.
My Hangar Queen 2 is still waiting for home-made decals where it was at the end of HQ2, so I second Rob's sentiment.
Also, congrats to Rob on the new washing machine-- I think I remember a different one in earlier photos!
Cheers all!

Thanks Bob, great job!! I managed to finish 2 planes on this campaign, so for 3 HQ campaigns I've finished 4 planes... So of course I'm ready for HQ 4.

Bob,

Thanks for leading this campaign and also to Jessie for all the encouragement to get the Cursed Cobra FINALLY built. I've been in and even led a number of campaigns but the ribbon award from this one will always be something special (both good and bad memories). To everyone else that participated and completed a "Queen," CONGRATULATIONS! And yes, I have a few other Hangar Queens that would be available for an HG IV.

Cheers,
Jan

Don't let this kit scare you away from doing airliners. VEB Plasticart kits are not a good introduction to any kind of modelling.

Well Jessie, I suppose so, too. But I have to limit my kits, otherwise I get real space problems. So airliners are out for this reason and not because of that kit. It gave me no real trouble and anyway, it was a gift from my nice mother-in-law (indeed she is!) But let me wish you a very happy new year and let's go on building nice kits!
Cheers Peter
