My TB-25K is now aluminum clad
my attempt at scribing panel lines is completely invisible

Took quite a while to just get going, but now I've finally got some painting done.
Since this 1:72 scale kit doesn't come with an exhaust pipe, the insides of the rear fuselage would be visible. I played with the idea of filling the inside with milliput, but that would have been a chore to sculpt and sand to look convincing, and it would have added quite some weight to the rear. I ended up cannibalizing a drop tank from Italeri's 1:48 scale BAE Hawk to make the pipe.
Following reference photos, I made a simple inner pipe from thin aluminium sheet.
Now I'm off to finish the cockpit so I can get the fuselage together.

There's a build thread of one of those over at Britmodeller which you may wish to peruse.

Thank you Jessica for the link.
My issue of the kit has different decals and as can be seen in the photo resin for the cockpit and exhaust parts

Done with the exhaust pipe. The milliput mount is not pretty, but it works. I just hope the whole thing doesn't add too much weight in the rear.

Everyone's models are progressing nicely.
My Camels fast approaching the finishing line. Most of the painting is now done. Just a few little bits and then its time for decals.
Unfortunately I handled it a little too rough when I placed it down for the photo, and one set of cabane struts broke off! Luckily its a quick fix.

This cockpit tub has to be one the most frustrating things to paint I've come across so far.
The casting and detailing is awesome, but it's almost impossible to get your brush in there.

The BV-141B airframe has been cemented together and I dipped the greenhouse canopy pieces in future yesterday. This picture was taken before touching up some of the interior grey and drybrushing the cockpit controls. On track to finish by the end of July. Once I sand down the seams that I filled with Mr Surfacer it will be ready to attach the clear pieces and start painting.

Here is an update on the Salamander.
By and large I'm enjoying the kit and building my first aircraft in two decades. There is times I miss working on armour models and the safety net that weathering gives you.
Amazing work all around

More work in the Revell P-51B 1/72nd. This was supposed to be a test run for my airbrush, but I just can't get the hang of the thing and I didn't want to stall the build. So I brushed on the main colours. It doesn't look as good as I would have liked.

Jonathan------TB-25 looks good. The NMF is very smooth.
John-----Like the Pony. Nothing like a -51 from the 78th!!!
Jeff----Nice progress on the Salamander.
Simon----Glad to see another -51 in the thread.
Stephen----Cool looking Sopwith Camel.
Van----Like the -141....very cool subject matter. That spine seam ought to be fun, though!
Well my A-4 "Superfox is done and posted in the gallery. Ended up with the following mods:
Classic Airframes Resin Seat
Hobbyboss Ordnance
Eduard PE RBF tag
Furball Decals
The plane depicted is "Gator One-Six" from the "Flying Gators" of VMA-142, USMC. I enjoyed the campaign, as always, and there is really a nice variety of builds taking place here. Well done folks! GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best wishes,
Ian
