Sorry folks, I've been missing out on all the fun in this thread but I've finally sat down and read through it: so many nicely finished 262´s: well done to all of us !
I'm steadily working on mine. There is still a small chance that I might finish in time...
I've been having a great time...
...with the mottling. My primary reason for building Luftwaffe !
My build thread is here!!

Hi again,
Nice progress everyone and congrats to all who have made it!!!
Well, putting on the stencils was again hard work as I did not like it and had to force myself to do it. Then I put on a sealing layer of Klear and a water colour wash with raw umbra and black.
Now it is time to put on the under carriage and the small parts before the final flat coat. I think I can make it til sunday .. but we will see.
all the best
Steffen

You got that right Michael! Great results coming through in the past few days. By my reckoning we have 10 completed builds so far and all have posted images in the Campaign Gallery.
Steffen, those finishing touches are looking great, definitely worth the effort getting the stencils on. Looking forward to the final assembly now.
Magnus, beautiful paint job, and impressive stick-work as always. This will look great with the markings on!
Daniel, a big step forward with the major assembly done now, great job.
eMan, superb looking build, the camo and markings both really well done.
Jan, looks good to me, I like the bare metal panel variations and the weathering effects.
Richard, nice job on your tiny little Schwalbe, I think my eyes would implode trying to work on this scale! You've done it really well.
Thomas, great set of images of your build, I'm certainly not bored looking at it! Thanks for sharing.
Once again, the Roll Call/Build Status post back on page 1 has been updated.
Unfortunately nothing to report from me, a sick toddler and the sudden and unexpected death of a close friend of my wife's family have once again put paid to my bench-time plans. I will be continuing to build and post progress well after the official end of the Campaign and I hope those of you with builds still in progress will keep contributing.
Cheers, D

Great looking camouflage, iflyb20. Nice touch with a radio hatch with different camo from another aircraft. Looking forward to see more.
Ps. You should really put a name somewhere on your profile, so to call you something else than iflyb20.

Hi again
finally my model is done. See my thread for the final pix. Since a week the kitmaker gallery shows a very strange behavior. Today I cannot even upload pix to the campaign gallery. Seems a more serious bug as staffjim hasn't fixed it yet.

And I'm done
Thank you Damian for the campaign. I learned a lot from the other highly talented people here and had lots of fun building my model.
@ Jesper
Thank you for your kind words. I thought I had entered my name in my profile. Strange it's not showing
PS : I am unable to upload pictures in the gallery. Anyone else facing this problem ?

Admin is aware of the problem loading to the galleries and is working on it. I'll leave this campaign open until it's fixed.

Raj and Steffen! First class results from both of you, I like them a lot!
As you might know by now, mine went badly wrong so we'll have to chalk me up as a non-finisher .

Here the finished product, the tree's took a bit more time than expected,.. A lot longer than painting placing the decals and weathering this Revell Me 262.
So I lost a major component of this tiny kit,..the Canopy,.. I put it somewhere for me to cut it in half but I don't know where and as I now scratched a front screen I think I don't need it any more. The seen is a Messerschmitt that just left the assembly line at the "Waldwerk Staufen" and only needed the canopy to be put into action. Photo's of the actual factory show such aircraft without. For the purist, I know these aircraft that left the factory mostlikly did not had tactical codes,.. and looking now at it I should have removed the codes from the decal sheet with the balken kreuz but anyway,... the photo's

Awsome plane, awsome builds here and great campaign
great build jan. I like the snow and trees. I would like to know how you made them. do you have a how to?
I noticed you don't have any swastika. that a personal choice or are they not available where you are?
also you might try checking out sights like squadron.com or any site that carries their products. they make aftermarket canopies.

Steffen and Raj: Very nice foto finish with some beautiful modelled swallows!
Magnus: I am very sorry about what happened to Your model.! But, what You have shown us with this kit was fantastic. Thank You for Your help with the color of my swallow, too!
Damian: Thank You for managing this campaign. I know You had very little time for Your own model, but You have always been around us in this thread, spending Your time on us! Great perfomance in campaign leading!

Thank you Oliver and Jesper!
It was a fun project though I am not 100% happy with the left wing camo ... and of course the colors are always up for discussion (I chose Vallejo RLM83 dark green but a brownish/olive drab color is also possible
all the best

@Steffen, Raj, Magnus--beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Well done one and all!
@Daniel--glad one of us "wirers" was able to finish! It came out wonderfully. Gotta love kits that copy the real thing--you should convert some of your pics to black & white and mix them in with the historical shots and challenge us to tell the difference.
I keep plugging away as if the campaign is still going on. Drilled out the gun barrels--just because. Good thing the kit came with six cannon, cause I ruined onen the process.
And wired up the control column.

Daniel, great work and congratulations on getting your build completed. Thanks for sharing so much detail during the process as well, your detail work is really nicely done.
@ Keith:
Please keep posting your progress, I will be doing exactly the same with the rest of my build, and I welcome everybody else with builds under way to keep contributing.
