Hello. I'm trying to upload pictures to the campaign gallery for at least a couple of days now. All ok my laptop says, Do not see any picture.
How come?
Kind regards,
Robert Jan
Robert Jan,
Are you logged in? The Gallery seems to log you off more often than the forums and you need to be logged in to upload. Also it needs to be the right format for pics (jpg, jpeg, gif, or png) and under a certain size (3 meg I believe).

Iain, Really nice job on your Spit.
Robert, fantastic paint peel on your Ki84? What is your method in accomplishing this?
John, the paint job on your Nate is giving me an idea that I should have painted the yellow on my Ki43.
It looks like Ill make the deadline, I am finishing the decals and only destroyed one of the numbers (12)

Official made it to the end. Took some time but the pictures were uploaded to the campaign gallery.
Bob; to make a long story short, I use wax as a natural metal finish for the undercoat (AK Metal). Applied over black primer and polished to different shades, grades, etc. Left to cure for about one or two weeks. From the same brand final colours go on. All you do is peel the spots and larger areas. You can also do some rubbing, use tooth sticks, what you like. Finish it off with a lacquer to your choice, That is it. Chipping 2.0 (and beyond) easy!
It was a pleasure building a plane again at that scale. Really enjoyed this one. More to come this year for sure.
Kind regards,

Decals are finally on the Spit, my goodness there was some tiny stencils.
Just need to get a flat coat on everything and add wheels and canopy and it's done. Might still manage to come in under the deadline.

Forgot to mention. When peeling and rubbing, paint goes off like a film. You can stop this, e.g. by making cuts in panel lines. Also polishing the edges with a 4000 or 8000 grid seals it back to the surface. Looks spot on to my opinion.
Best part is that you still can add more shine if you want. Bring it up and polish again.
Success...

I keep looking at it wondering what I have missed, but it looks like I am actually finished!
Not the greatest pictures, but they will have to do.

Wow ! Great Spit!
Unfortunately, due to a complicated May month, hot weather and my little brother's wedding, my I-16 type 10 will not be finished before the deadline.

Thomas according to my research and also the decals from eagalcal pappy boyingtons plane had that extra vein of green camo on the port side. i have not seen any other flying tiger with this uncommon addition.

Sick as a dog laying in bed, and I have just realised what I have missed while looking at my photos: I have left the masking on the exhausts! Will have to get that off today.

The left wing fuel tank fell while weathering
this will be close. Still need to attach the pitot tube, antenna, and apply flat over coat and then try to spray the exhaust stain then take photos.

It's good to see all the other progress going on in different builds. I like that Beaufighter, and the Airacobra looks good.
Appreciate everyones compliments, but it's funny how I am super critical of it knowing everything that didn't quite work out right.
Since I had to take the time to unmask the exhausts I figured I could get a few better pictures:

It's Lifecolor Sky Blue Azure, with a touch of Lifecolor RAF Sky Grey to tone down the brightness a bit.
I bought both Lifecolor WW2 RAAF paint sets, since I have a few RAF/RAAF aircraft in the stash.
