nice work all. some great finishes. way to hang in there radek, camo looks great. like the mitchel too pasi and great weathering on the gator eman.
peter the lightning is comming along there, what kit is it your making? and franck hope the finger heals up in time. that hellcat kit was one of my favorite builds.

the devastator is NOT one of my favorite builds though but i have had fun building it. i will have more wip photos soon. i am just about ready for paint i just have to do my least favorite chore first, masking the canopy. i'm not too good at it. i decided to mix my own tamiya paints for the blue grey top since all the paint kits are sold out. i will update soon

@Joe - thank you, it's the Academy kit and I really like it. Nice fitting and no major problems yet.

Nearing completion now...

Of course there's some touching up and filling to do here and there(especially the guns!) before the decals.
I will be on holiday for a week now, but meeting the deadline shoudn't be a problem at all
Have fun, mates and good luck for finishing!

looks good peter. i like the weathering/chipping. that's the academy kit, i have the revel kit, i built one years ago so don't remember if the booms have problems assembling.
i been holding on to the kit while looking for decals for maj mcguire's p38j plane- pudgy. i have decals for the olive drab one but want to make the nmf craft. he was from rigdewood nj,the next town over from me.

Thanks Joe, I really appreciate that
Good luck for your Lightning project and that's a fine reason to build this special airplane!
Cheers mate

Well, with less than two weeks to go....

White background for the Hinomaru are painted...the masks were way too small for the wings, so out came the Tamiya tape.

Small bit of touch up needed here and there.

Last things to do: Hinomaru for the wings and fuselage, clear marker light, propeller, and of course the canopy.

The part I like the least: Getting ready to paint the canopies. Clear parts are now drying after a dip in Future. Should be dry tomorrow early afternoon. Then masking.

In the mean time, the Hinomaru's are painted. Looks pretty good to me.

Clear light cover to be added to the leading edge of the wing and prop band color to be painted. I still need to add the plane identification numbers by the tail and cowling. Almost there.

And Mitchell's done:

Two more photos are in gallery.

This was a fun campaign, and had good time building the HK Models Mitchell. It went together quite nicely. If I remember correctly there were minor issues with engine nacelle to wing mount, and rear gunner's canopy was just a tad too wide (luckily I checked this before painting the model).

For conversion from B-25H to PBJ1H I used Profimodeller's set, which was a must. I also had Eduard's seat belts and interior PE, which weren't really necessary. The belts were nice, though. I substituted kit's MGs with "0.5 inch M2 Browning" barrels by RB Model, and would to that again.

Nice kit, but bit expensive specially with the accessories.

Thanks for the campaign.

well it looks like i'm the last one, or at least it feels that way.
still working on my devastator to get it finished by the 1st. the photos here show up to decals. i dullcoated it last night and hopefully final assembly the next couple days baring any mishaps. i had one last night as i touched up some of the blue and got overspray on the fuselage star. i cleaned it off with a q-tip moistened with some acrylic thinner but couldn't get it all. luckily it looks like fading instead of a mistake.

Racing to finish mine. Another week wouldn't hurt, but I think I'll push through to the finish regardless.

I personally could use another week; grad school and work plus bad weather kept me from doing much building the past few months. I'm working on a Hasegawa George and I've only just got the thing about ready to prep for exterior paintwork, but I have a massive assignment due for school on the 29th.

So I'm hearing calls for an extension. Would two weeks do it for everyone?

Extension or not, I've gotten busy! (No complaints by me!)

So, I do NOT like canopies. But, I may not like them "less" now that I've found (again?) that Bare Metal Foil does pretty good with the correct blade.

Before:

After:

The canopy parts are not yet glued into place...a little more to do before I can "zip this one up."

Matt,

Go to the campaign gallery, look in the upper right hand corner and see if you're logged in. If not, do so. If so, click on the "upload photos" link and follow the instructions. This will actually call for you to upload directly from your computer, since the gallery is separate from your personal gallery and can't upload from there. Hope that helps!
