If I can track down a kit and some decals of an Iranian Tomcat I might join that one as well. However, so far I have not succeeded

What scale?

Hi Decal make them in both 1:48 and 1:72

It pains me to point you in the direction of a competitor but have a look at the Hannants website.........

Type in 'f-14 iran' in the search.

Again, I'm in for my first campaign and I will teach you all valuable lessons! The sons of Mother Russia will unleash her displeasure against the fascists and capitalist pig-dogs with this:

-Derek

Great! welcome on board!

Nice choice Will there be bombs on the plane(s) or will you just crush the fascist vipers with the 37mm cannon?

I think I will build a plane without bombs but I have not decided yet. This is my first Eduard kit an am very impressed with the contents. What a value! Either way the "Little Shaver", (a Soviet name of endearment for the P-39), may make his way over to Armorama show the rusted hulks who is in charge! Now if I can just keep from gluing the PE to my fingers.

I have 4 possibles, all 1/48, pretty much in preference order, although 1st 3 are real close & could change with my mood ...
-- Hasegawa Hurricane IID
-- Hasegawa Typhoon IB
-- CA Westland Whirlwind
-- Tamiya P-47

But I'm overloaded, way overloaded, and if I join it'll be late.
Nonetheless, I'll be watching the fun !!!

I will build a Hawker Typhoon Ib - Hasegawa 1/48 - it will have boms in the underwing racks.
Here is the boxart:

DAMN! :-) Do you need a wingman Carlos? I was thinking of doing the Typhoon as well? Maybe we can do to birds from the same squadron?

Thanks for all the info on the 410's and 110's. I'm thinking the only one you could probably get away with possibly being a tank buster would be a late model 110.(Even though Jesper said 410's were ok). Sounds like there are many who are excited about this build which is nice. I'm sure we will get a nice turnout for this campaign. It might be nice to make a list of all the proposed aircraft/Countries so others can see what is being built. I will run this past Jesper and see what he thinks!!

Hi everybody

Here is a list of the participants so far. Sorry a the low tech view of the table. I could not figure out how to do a table in the post. Seems like there are a lot of P-47s roaming the French skies hunting for Panthers and Tigers. However, the T-34s on the Eastern front should not fell safe with two Hs 129 and a kanonenvogel getting in the air. :-) :-)

Hi Jan:

For me there´s no problem. I think it would be fun to build a a pair of Typhoons from the same Sqn. If you like it, I believe we can do it.
We must agree about the markings. Mine will have bombs, yours could have rockets.

Ok Carlos. Well look out Jerry....... The Supreme Dream Team is taking to the air!

May I suggest this squadron on your behalf Carlos?

No. 164 Squadron of the Royal Air Force was a Figher Squadron during the Second World War

Around 600 Argentine volunteers, mostly of Anglo-Argentine descent, joined the British and Canadian Air Forces, mostly in the 164 Argentine-British RAF squadron.

After providing support for the landing forces from southern England, the squadron moved to France in July. During the Battle of Normandy, No.164 used its rockets against enemy armour in the battle area and after the breakout moved forward through northern France and Belgium in support of the 21st Army Group.

And here's one of their Typhoons.

Just so that you don't get to complacent... :-)

I can't believe that nobody is building a Warthog... perhaps it's a sign for me to break my duck.

Cheers

Hmm--I'm thinking I might build the "Flying Tank". I have the accurate miniatures ILm2 with skis that would be a good representative for the Motherland. On the other hand---the Dragon Ju88P-1 keeps staring at me from across the room and I am thinking it might be a fun build to represent the Fatherland. Decisions............

Anyone know off the top of their heads whether either one of these two models have any aftermarket products yet? I haven't seen any P-1 stuff although I could probably just use Ju88A-4 items for the majority of the model. I was looking for some stormovik AM stuff but could only find IL2m3 items. I am not a stormovik expert so other than a different cockpi and some possible armament differences I am not so sure that the IL2m3 items would work for the ILm2. Forgive me for the plane designations since I am at work and cannot remember them off the top of my head!! I just want to say thanks in advance for any help with the AM question.

P.S. One of you guys could get back at the armor boys by posting a nice tank killer photo on the Achtung Jabo Thread. Did I say that?

Jan,

I once painted that picture at school for my O-level!

It never quite turned out like that.....
