D, that's an awesome find. And the note, too.

No one's shopping?
Well, I do and when I came home today from an expo near my hometown I suddenly found this awesome dual combo in my bag. Don't know how it got there ....

Excellent find D! I rarely buy my source material new LOL.
And Torsten surrrrreeeee no idea at all! It must've jumped in while you weren't looking (yeah right!).
Bob my friend the mojo does come back you just need something to excite it. I've spent several months with very little desire to build paint decal or weather. I am now however back on track so to speak, all those kits with meatballs should provide inspiration they are mighty tasty!

Hi there
This wonderfully generous donation arrived today at my Oxfam Bookshop and I couldn't resist buying it as a slightly belated "birthday present to me". It wasn't cheap, but I've wanted a copy for years.
All the best

Some really good finds. Especially those books.
In amongst the usual Airfix and Revell kits, my local art shop had these on sale and for the price I couldn't say no. Only went in for a tube of oil paint!
Been looking for the Spitfire for a while and no way was I going to leave the Mirage. After all it's one of my favourite little jets.
It's the old Esci kit and comes with a decent little selection of optional stores and really nice looking decals. Italeri even included a little colour booklet of beautifully drawn profiles for all the marking options. Looking forward to building this one.

Hi all
I picked up my latest kit in Salisbury today while I was on the mainland for a training day:
Anyone local to Salisbury will need no introduction to the Salisbury Model Centre - a really classic LHS - but I think it's worth giving an extra shout-out because the historic town attracts so many visitors from elsewhere in the UK and abroad. And what better way to round off a sightseeing day than calling in on a model shop!
It's really worth a visit and has a great selection of the latest mainstream and smaller manufacturer kits, as well as an extensive line-up of paints and tools etc.
NOTE: If you're planning to visit Salisbury Model Centre, be sure to print off the voucher from their website for a 10% discount on purchases in-store.
All the best

Building for a friend (found in my LHS) - her Uncle Russell was co-pilot on the Briefing Time when it went down.
Also ordered a set of 1/48 "Briefing Time" decals, metal landing gear and the Eduard Instrument Panel.
Hi, Mike!
That should be a nice, easy and stress-free build for you.
Enjoy!

A friend's wife is partner in an antique store. Sometimes he finds things for me.
I recently snared this.

I found a gem on a local FB Buy/Swap/Sell site, the original 1966 boxing of the Airfix 1/72 Short Stirling. This is the first kit I ever built, back in the early 70's, with my father. Horrible toothpaste-tube glue, no paint, totally fogged up clear parts, decals straight on the plastic, but I was super-proud of it!
It will be great to see if I have improved my technique!
Cheers, D
