Here is photo number two which shows the progress which was completed. I cut off the vertical stabilizer for it needed the tall tail.
Going to complete it as an Italian a/c

Hi Trevor
It took me a while to learn how to up-load pic's on to the forums .
If you used the gallery here on the site to post pic.s in the forums . When in the gallery click on the photo you want to post . Right click and a window comes up , click on proporties high light the image code and copy this to your clip board . Now go to the tread you wish to post in .
Click on the
. High light http://put.url.here/image.file and then right click and paste .
Your pic should be there and not a thumb nail size . hope I said all this right .
Looking forward to your build .
Jesper , nice build . Shame about the decals though . Have they been sealed yet ? Maybe try a gloss coat over them . Really not sure how you would fix this . Looks nasty .

Thanks for the tips, Terri and russell. I have tried different chemicals to try and solve the problem. Nothing worked, so now I am carefully scratching the worst "misting" away from the model and then try to gloss it over. I will update you later. Expect to have it finished this weekend.
Nice choice for this campaign, Trevor. Looking forward to see Italian 109.

Hi Damian,
As said already - a real beauty! Thanks for sharing your HiRes picts.
To be honest, I was a little bit distracted by the video.
Funny, I‘ve a wallpaper of a Bf109 I built on the desktop as well...
Puh, I‘m not in a building mood at the moment at around 30 degrees at night - surfing the forum I get managed, at least...
Cheers

Finally getting started on my build.
I will be building a Hasegawa Bf109 E-4. Hope to get it done before the deadline. I will be using Eduard PE for the cockpit.

With your interest in mountain biking you wouldn't be going to do the STP? (Seattle to Portland bike race) If so, I will be working the Vader Rest Stop....

I have now finished my Bf109F-4b. An average kit from Airfix. Should have spend the extra money and used a Hasegawa model instead.
The Bf109F-4b is representing a fighterbomber from 10.(jabo) of JG 53. They flew sorties against Malta and adapted a marking of a bomb striking Malta on the rear fuselage sides.
I can accept the result, but it is going in the back of the display cabinet. The decals did not handle well with my normal varnish and left a flurry white edge. Furthermore some of the decals are slightly of register. You have to look close to see it, but since I have noticed myself I will see it every time I look at the model.
Anyway, despite my decal problems it has been great to be part of the campaign. Really great to see so many excellent builds.
Comments welcome

I cannot seem to find the campaign gallery to upload a photo. I looked both under 2009 and 2010 campaigns in the photos section.
Has one been made? Could anybody point me in the right direction?

Jesper I'm sorry to see you had troubles with the decals, you did a great job on the build and paintwork !
Cheers, D
P.S. I don't think that we have a gallery for the campaign yet.

One quick query - would a late '41 E4 have an RLM02 cockpit or an RLM66 one???
Thanks in advance

Jesper, I'm so sorry about your decals. I know how tough it is to deal with sometimes, decals seem to be often the weak link in the modeling chain for some reason. A good attempt at least. Not your fault, the manufacturer of the decals are to blame most likely. Russell
