My battery ran out! I will attempt to do more pics of the finished kit asap. I have a 2' by 2' poly tile with a flocked top (so kinda looks like grass). I will use that and try and get some better lighting. My camera ain't too hot at close up pics tho.

thanks

A small progress update [before Terri kicks my aft-end ]

RLM 66 and RLM 79 done. Next in queue RLM 80 Blotches.

Since my airbrush is a single-size-spray-pattern-only kind, i'm using Eduard's Templates for the blotches

What my worktable is looking like these days.

I wouldn't kick you Raj ! Your project is coming along very well . Like how you did the masking for the camo .

Eetu my friend , Nice to see you moving forward with the paint stage .

I finally started with the second colour for the camo on my build , which is going at slow pace . Hope to have some pic's up soon of my progress .

How is every one else coming along with their projects ?

Hey everybody, Some beautiful work in here. Bill that's just plain nice and Priller's always been my favorite ever since "The Longest Day". Raj, I'm taking the same path with a JG 27 plane but I don't have the PE so I hope I can pull off something as clean as yours. The bar's been set a little high for me. Especially since this will be my first plane finished since I was 12.
I'm starting with the Tamiya E-4/7 kit.

No bells or whistles, just a little bit of wire here and there. I'm setting my deadline for next weekend to try and prevent my AMS from kicking in (and being slightly influenced by Damian/AussieReg and Q/Red4).

Thanks Charlie. My build is not even close to some of the builds but i'm still learning, and more importantly, i'm enjoying it

Some more progress shots :

I know i cheated by using a template but i'm happy with the result. The blotches could have been bigger but the official mottler in my staffel had a very small brush - hence the small blotches

Hope to finish it by tomorrow.

Cheers

This is my first time submitting photos of my build in a campaign. I have not taken some photos that should have been done so bare with me. I have installed the kit decals and over painted them as per Italian practice with blue grey. I should have taken a photo of the first set of installed decals

Just trying out the process of uploading photos. Here are some more of my build. . As you can see I dropped the flaps. Also over painted the ventral national marking.

Here is my attempt of placing a Fujimi tail onto an Otaki kit. The represented aircraft which I am trying to make has the tall tail with the standard canopy. Otaki kit comes with the standard tail. The cord of the rudder was narrower than the airframe, thus some judicious filing of the dorsal edge. Some Mr. surfacer to hide some of the misalignment and to blend it in. I think it looks good from a distance. As one would expect I found some conversions for the Otaki kit at a show, snagged them for a later build. Should have taken a close up

Hi Trevor and welcome to the GB !

Nice progress so far on your build You will get the hang of posting pic's . The small ones are thumb nails . When you are in your gallery click the photo you want . Right click then click on proporties and highlight the file location . Copy this to your clip board then in your post click the img tag and highlight the space between ] [ these things and paste .

Very nice job on the camo Raj ! Not an easy one to do .

Hi,

do we have a gallery that we need to post a pic in to get the campaign ribbon?

Hey everybody,
This is where I am.

Limited parts, simple kit, but with decent detail.

Great builds, everyone!
I have been making progress on Doerr's Bf109G-14 from JG5. Of course, it is the Hasegawa 1:32 kit, which is a pleasure to build. I did notice, however, that the canopy is too wide for the cockpit sill. For once, I was planning on building a 109 closed up to preserve the lines (and it's cold in Norway!). Oh well, another open cockpit it is!

Going to the paint shop this week, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed to make the deadline!

Can't see a the pic, clicking on the small frame displayed takes me to the gallery page.
I presume you wanted to show a thumbnail which would lead to the original when clicked?
Like this?

Looking at those tags you had used, you're almost there. You just had the url of the gallery page containing the photo you wanted to link inside the first url tags instead of the direct url of the photo.
Press "reply & quote" of this message to see the tag codes. Note the difference.

I hope this helps.

Hi Everyone,

I am happy to announce that I seem to have slain the gallery gremlins and this wonderful campaign now has its own for you to upload to:

http://gallery.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php?cat=25904

To relieve stress on the gallery I ask that you limit your photos to one or two, and if able, that you size your photos to not exceed 600 X 450 pixels.

The four sets of pix I've put in are watermarked and ID'ed with the builder. If any of you want me to do so for your photos, you may still send them to me. Just be patient, it may take a few days for me to process your pixs.

Excellent! The only problem now is I can't resize (its currently 1600*1200) the pic as I don't have anything like photoshop. Fred - if i email the pic to you can you resize it and add it to the gallery?

thanks
Mike
