Byron, a great looking Me-109, 72 scale is it? Hermon, a great build on the P-38 as well. Russell

Thanks Damian. Google searches have not produced any decent results for me. That pic would be most helpful, in the meantime I will double check again for anything.

thanks

Here's the pic. Sorry about the quality, using my mobile phone since the digital camera took it upon itself to retire.

I hope this is the aircraft you are looking for.

Cheers, D

It's good enough for me but I didn't make the rules for the campaign! Hope the judges are satisifed!

thanks

James, as you've been posting on your progress for months, and I know how hard it is trying to work on something when your working away from home, keep posting WIP and then ask me nicely when your done

Hi all!

Not much done on this build, for a while!

Mostly due to that fact that I’m tangled up in waaay too many campaigns at the moment!

But, since last time I have masked all the glass, and glued them to the model.

…and the kite has gotten its fangs!!

I have masked the cockpit, engine and all intakes and outlets, the underside is painted Light Medium Grey, and spinner and tail band is Sky (Hu90).

The interior colour of the canopy frames is Interior Green..

More to come soon!

Cheers!

Stefan

Roden Black Knight Eduard von Schleich Jasta 32b Fokker D.Vii

Roden Black Knight Eduard von Schleich Jasta 32b Fokker D.Vii

Eduard Ritter von Schliech Jasta 32b. No photo of this plane exists but
a copy of a painting by Rudolf Stark can be found in the Windsock Fokker D.VII Anthology Vol 2 page 39. It could be the wing uppers are lozenge not black.

JP - congrats on the finish! very good looking bird.

I have not made much progress on mine, i will never get the basge but here is a tiny update. A tad of a scratchbuild project; seat belts. Masking tape which has been “brushed” with graphite powder shaved from a pencil. That will be the seatbelt material. Wire from inside an electrical cord, wrapped around a “D” shaped metal file, making the metal hooks. Implements:

End result:

I think the result is “ok to good”, a fun but long (couple hours) mini project. And yes, I have heard of PE seat belts. Lol Feedback and comments always welcome.

Ok, here are my final images - glad to have this one done finally!!!

I could do more weathering, add aerial wires, and whatnot (and probably will eventually), but I am putting this aside for a while and it is done as far as the campaign is concerned.

thanks, James and Justin.

It's not easy finding a hurricane with such unique art on it, so how could I resist?

Finally, I'm finished! Pics didn't come out as well as I thought, I'll have to redo them later. Mig-17 3020 flown by Le Hai, 6 kill ace in the Vietnam war. The plane carries 7 kill markings indicating the total of all it's pilots. Hobbyboss kit, Neomega 'pit, Quickboost pitot tubes and guns, True Detail wheels. I was going to use decals from Condor's "Migs over 'Nam" sheet but the red wasn't opaque enough to cover the dark green. The decals would probably be ok on a NMF. I ended up using markings from an old Airfix/Smer Mig.
