Hi guys! Have started on my effort, Academy's 1/72 Bronco. Have themain pieces together now and waiting for some filling, sanding and primer. Not too sure what colour scheme I will use yet but I like the shark mouth on the box art.

Hi Nick, great choice of kit. Keep us posted with progress please.

Noted in Roll Call.

Well guys and gals, we now have 30 enlisted, and of those 17 active in the official campaign thread already. I am very thankful to ALL of you for supporting me in my first campaign as leader. I intend to PM the inactive enlisted members after the end of January with a friendly reminder, but with all of the updates bumping the thread up the list, and the quality of the work shown so far, I'm sure we will pick up a few more players.

Cheers, D

Woohoo!! I have a whole weekend to work on this baby

Got the white base coat on. The yellow stripes are done (still have to do a few more on the tail section). She's really going to pop when the blue goes on.

No probs Allen, if you have posted in this official thread, even if you haven't started, I would consider you "active". I'm looking forward to you guys showing us your builds.

You're not wrong, it's looking really nice now, the blue will just set it right off !!

Painting is done! Those stripes really were a trick on the tail though.
First pic is the top showing the blue/white/yellow scheme and the second pic is the bottom side.

There are a couple of little spots where the paint seeped in under the tape. I'll fix those when the paint is fully cured. For now she's going into a plastic cake pan (anti-dust magnent).

Hermon

But seriously, I looked at re-shaping the glass, but the problem is the "vertical" height. What I've now done is re-shape the front and bottom edge so that it sits neatly there, and sanded the roofline to give a reasonable finish at the top. The cabin roof at the front is now paper-thin but it will survive !! Photos following shortly.

Yours is looking sweet BTW, can't wait to see it all decalled up and good to go !!

Cheers mate, and keep on laughing.

Hi Andy, you're lucky that Flitzer wasn't CRUSHED by all of the other stuff that landed with it. I saw the POSTMAN thread entry, super haul there. Don't you just love opening those new boxes and taking a good look at the sprues, the decals, the instructions, then reluctantly box it all up again and slide them into the stash ! ?

Anyway, I'm dreaming again. Looking forward to your build.

And Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, that blurred flash of light and trail of dust we just saw was Justin, The Speed Build King !!

Justin, awesome build in that time frame, very impressive. Thanks so much for joining my campaign and giving us our first complete Boom Boomer. Feel free to wave as you flash past between other Campaign builds mate.

I will get a gallery set up for the Campaign if you want to post a pic or two there. I honestly didn't think I needed to have a gallery set up 10 days in, but then I didn't reckon on "Justin, The Speed-Build King", did I ??

Great work Justin. Man you're fast. Got to love that P-38, I'm thinking of doing one in 72 scale and joining this campaign too. Again, great job. Russell

That may be so but he still has a long way to go before he can topple Andy Brazier (Betheyn) throne as emperor of the speed builds

Seriously nice build you have there Justin and loving your build so far Hermon.

Hi all, just a quick note, our Campaign Gallery is now up and running for those of you who wish to post pics of your finished builds. I would love to see a gallery full of Boom Boomers, but it is not essential to do this to get your ribbon, just post finished pics in this thread if you prefer.

Boom Boom Campaign Gallery

I will also note finished builds on the Roll Call.

Cheers, and keep those updates coming in !

I uploaded my pic's to the gallery AUSSMAN.Started my build january 1'st did nt stop until it was done it actually was only because there was no real issues.Hope the next one is the same way.Have to take my time with that one though few more things i want to incorperate.Igot yelled out by the wife a few times lack of attention modeling will be my downfall.what is the record for the fastest build?Cant wait to see the rest
@hermon looking good my man.
@Aussie that gap is nasty Now i know not to get the testors kit after what ive seen so far what with the lack of detail and fitment issues.the other one looks like a good kit and you can just make out the size differance.
@Alpha bong had a bunch of differant paint options i went with marge for ACES HIGH.He is the ACES OF ACES first time ive seen that one in kit form.It looks nice
OK IM GONE IN A BLUR AGAIN

what is the record for the fastest build?

Andy's build can be anywhere between 24 hours to 3 days when it come to a speed build.
