Now, I know I picked up a set of AM decals, it's just a matter of where in this almighty mess did I file them ???

Never mind, it will be a while before I need them, they will turn up.

This is sure to be an awesome Campaign

that 101 kit is in my all time top ten models,what markings are you going to use? I loved the Texas ANG with the red, white and blue flash on the tail that came with the kit moons ago and the state of Texas outline on the fuselage.

Hi Andy, and Happy New Year right back atcha mate !!

I picked up this kit at a swap meet and it came without decals, so I picked up the Eagle Strike "Voodoo Flight Part 5" (set #48244) AM decals.

Oh, you can all stop looking as well. Apparently I was actually organised at some stage because the decal set was exactly where it should be, in the kit !!

I'm planning to do aircraft 58-0306 "Red River Queen" from 18th FIS out of Grand Forks AFB North Dakota.

This is my entry. I also have a Black Box cockpit around here somewhere that I'll throw into it.



And my decals. I was lucky to find these. I'll be using option #2 at the bottom with the red, white, and blue stripes on the tail.



Soon as I have finished up a couple other campaigns I'll get started on the Dagger.

I will be using trumpeters 1/48 f-100C w/ AIRES cockpit and wheel bays,Im going with the version on the box.

I will probably start sometime tonight

I have done the same thing many, many times myself.

Justin, I've been lusting after that Trump version of the Hun ever since it hit the market. I'll be watching that one close.

Well I guess I will fire this one off.here is where I am at so far.....
First Im working on getting all the aires resin installed so I replaced the front wheel bay first as you can see there's a major difference in detail between the kit and the resin....

The back wheel bay is a different story all together I had shave the insides of the fuselage thin enough to where i could see through them....

Man those resin sets are awsome. I don't envy you when it comes time to rescribe all that detail on the bottom fuselage seams though. Especially being a NMF bird.

Like most of these 1/32 Trumpeter kits I have built fit is inbelievable with only tiny gaps between large assemblies.

Update for some reason Aires didn't mold a seat cushion into this set dont Know if its because there was such a wide variety used or what.Any who I made one using references from a restored bird...



and buttoned up the cockpit should be joining the fuselage half's together soon....

J, that Hun tub looks great mate ,weird about the seat padding ,but you done a smashing job on them.
Those Aries resin bits are something else arn't they?

Justin., that is because there was no cushion for the seat, except if it was in the hanger, and never a red one... But don't sweat it, it looks good to me.. Oh wait a sec, I was talking about an F-100D like I am building??

warren out of all the reference pics I can find( not many on the C)this is the general consensus.



Unless im wrong first time building this jet and there's not to many facts nailed down about it.There is a lot of differences in everything im seeing but they all say it belongs to a f-100c did they change alot on this aircraft?If anybody can tell me for a fact that the seat is wrong please post a pic of the correct one before I seal this thing up

Justin, you are probably 100% correct for an F-100C. If you think it is correct, it is.. and you have done a great job with it. You have a photo to show what you have done and you must think it is right so it is.. I said that already didn't I..

Justin, nice job on the office so far. Tell me how the kit goes togther, any landmines or tips that you have for the weary on the fence builder?
