Approx. three months ago I started my build for this campaign. The Matchbox 1/76 Bf 110. The build has been stranded more or lees since then. Now I am starting it up again. Below are the first pictures of the kit and the initial build stage.
I will pick up where I left and will start the painting process. More to follow soon.

Jesper, did you by any chance find an old warehouse full of Matchbox kits?
Posted: Wednesday, September 28, 2011 - 03:58 PM UTC
Well, almost a whole warehouse I have investing quite a bit in Matchbox kits from Ebay.
I do not know why, but over the last year or so I have really begun to fancy the old Matchbox kits from my childhood again. They are very enjoyable builds as long as one does not expect up to date details, but the fit is very good and they are fun to build.
There are still builds for a few more campaigns in my Matchbox stash
I have made a little more progress on the Bf 110. There are no swastikas included in the kit, so I have to go hunting in the spares box.

Well here is my finished Fujimi Bf 110D-3 representing Sonderkommando'Junck' in May'41 Iraq
I used the true details interior, ultracast hub and props, stole fuel tanks from an Eduard kit, added pull cord for dingy, superscale decals. I am happy with it and have a few more in the stash along with the monogram copies.

Hi, I'm an late comer to this campaign. I returned from Afghanistan two weeks ago and have been looking forward to getting some modelling in. We'll see how much my skills have degraded in the past year away from the bench! The quality of work is outstanding; so hopefully I won't make a complete mess of the build!
I am building Eduard's Profipack Bf110G4. It will be an OOB build with the exception of an aftermarket antenna kit for the SN-2 radar array.
I have completed the cockpit and glued the fuselage together. Attached is a picture of the completed cockpit before the fuselage halves were glued together. I'll take more pictures as I progress through the build.

Very cool build, Trevor. The Iraqi markings are really something out of the ordinary.
Jay, nice looking cockpit. Looking forward to see more.

I am wondering if and when the banners will be given out? I am pretty sure that I fulfilled the qualifications.

This end date keeps on changing, sorry for the pre emptive strike.

I don't think the end date for this campaign has ever changed (I stand ready to be corrected) but there has been a few campaigns extended recent as there were a few campaigns running simultaneously which caused people to be unable to finish in the original allotted time frame.

"Jayshack Jay Bf 110 (1/32 Dragon) OPENED THE BOX AND PANICKED"
haha so true, reached a brick wall (rear machine gun does not allow canopy to sit flush with fuselage no matter how i align it) and still stressing about the deadline
.. i think i may need another beer for this

I have now finished my build for this campaign. The shark mouth decal really needed some gentle (heavy *cough cough* ) treatment In the end it came out to my satisfaction.
Many great builds in the campaign so far. Looking forward to see more builds finished.
Comments welcome

Trevor: Cool paint scheme and markings! The photo is a bit unclear though, could you possibly post some better pictures?
Enerst: That is a very nice cockpit. I'm looking foreward to see more!
Jay: Also a very nice cockpit, and I'm also looking foreward to see more here! Those instrument dials, did you paint them or use photoetch?
Jesper: Cool Zerstörer, Congrats! I know what you mean about that shark mouth. I did something similar a while ago, but I totally f*cked up and had to paint it instead! Yours look nice though.

Jesper, beautifully finished Captain. You really get the most out of those Matchbox kits, well done. I see you've posted in the Zerstorer Gallery already, thanks for that. I have updated the Roll Call/Build Status post on page 1 to reflect your finished build.
