Looking good everyone. No excuses you must finish them!!
My Su-2 is coming along fine and I ordered a paint mask set for it on Thursday. I think the little round turret to the rear would have been a nightmare to mask..

@Bob, I'm TDY in Portland. All by my lonesome in a 1 bed apartment. So lots more time for modeling and plenty of space for the stuff for a while.

Here is a photo of my entry. I changed my mind about the Monogram kits and have decided on Dragon's 1/200 B-52G.

This shows the state the kit has been in for several years now. Tonight I did paint Gunze Sangyo Acrylic Burnt Iron onto the exhaust areas. The only things glued are the wings. I will be building the kit as it comes without correcting details (like the lack of the curved bulges on the wing roots so ALCM capable Gs could be identified by satellite).

So long that I don't remember. I actually had done more with the kit than I remembered. The EVS and ECM bumps on the fuselage were added. Looking at the instructions, I am beginning to fear all those tiny decals. I think there are 6 decals on every cruise missile.

Could be worse, could be a Begemot stencils sheet or worse yet a Hasegawa Idol Master kit ...
Keep at it, hanger queen/gettr done campaigns are great for polishing off old part - builts.

Well, progress has been made on the little Su...

Getting close now. Will have its wheels up as I hardly ever build them that way. Waiting for the painting mask to arrive as I am too lazy to mask up the canopy..
Cheers
Warren
PS Just got an email telling me the mask was shipped today. Can't rush these things.

Well progress on one of my queens: (left over from Delta Dawn)

I added the gear and the missile racks since some time in February.

Recovered a missing actuator from the carpet monster tonight, but it looks like I've got to touch up some of the interior green stuff.

I am making my usual snail-like progress. This kit is early Dragon, which means it looks terrific in the box but is quite troublesome to build. Right now I am working on assembling the engine pods and trying to get the pylons to fit the wing. Nothing worth photographing yet.

Another Hanger Queen; boy, do I have a hanger full. Spad XIII progress has slowed but I've been looking at this recently. A Revell / Monogram snap AH64 with stick on decals (no thank you). I was attempting to make it something better for the Sands of Israel Campaign.

This has proven to be a difficult shape to fill and fair -

still have the wing joint to do.

Wow, wish you hadn't asked I don't have any records, but I think it was Testors MM Acryl Interior Green. I have a dim recollection of the paint being removed when I stuffed the bays with wet tissue...... The other possibility is MM Enamel Interior Green.

I am making a little progress.. I've got a few of the thousands of decals placed.

looks pretty sharp! I love the day-glow era of US military aircraft.

This one's from the 317 FS, stationed at Elmendorf AFB. Probably before 1966 (lack of leading "0" on S/N)

Ive mounted the wing, faired the fairing, and done a few more rounds of filling and sanding here and there. Im about done with that.

Next step is a buff up and gloss white finish. It looks rather like a Do228! for reference, we are going here:

Well, since I'm on my own and 'out of control' things happen. I managed to add some decals between 11 and midnight last night. It's gonna take forever, there are still 52 stencils left to install and I have no idea where about half of them go.

I keep going back and forth on how much to fix on the kit. The bottom center fuselage part is thinner than the fuselage while the tail gun section is wider than the fuselage. I'm thinking I might fix the tail section but leave the bottom center section as it's not as visible. Also wondering about making sure the outrigger landing gear are both touching the ground.

The only time both outriggers touched the ground was when the fuel tanks are full at the start of a flight. Otherwise only one or maybe neither of them would touch.

Sitrep:

I'm on round five with my DML Fw190. So far so good... I've turfed the graugrun/grauviolett for graugrun/olivgrun. There seems to be two schools of thought about which scheme this bird really had. And frankly this one looks much nicer so I'm doing it instead.

Anyone have any tips on ways to remove stubborn micromask from crevices??
