Bob-----The A/B-26 looks really good. Lead weight is pretty important on the Invaders because the CG on those is all kinds of screwed up.

Best wishes,

Ian

Spent the day decalling, Got the Phantom done and a good bit on two other kits.

The first pic the decal is a bit wrinkly it settled down with some Microsol.

Next the dull-coat then the metal bits.

Cheers Rob.

Allen - how goes the spy-in-the-sky?

Ben - Your sentinel of The Great White North is looking good. You've really put a lot of work into it.

Bob - I'm impressed with how good you are making that old kit look!

Richard - I can hear the hooves thundering down the runway.

I didn't know Russell, but believe a memorial should be visited by all.

Got a couple of these from Facebook and one in a bag from evilbay.

Welcome to the campaign, Eric. You still have heaps of time to get a Dragonfly in the air.

Thank you Ben and Ian.
Inspiration for the base came from some of Russell's postings.

wow some great work here

Quoted Text

Allen - how goes the spy-in-the-sky?

the TR-1A has been retired to the side lines but work on the Xfl-1 Airabonita as come on quite well and is ready for priming

The cockpit was a basic affair and built out of the box with no extras and minimal weathering as this was a prototype. The fit of the kit gas been quite good but there is a slight step at the wing roots that I hope some cleaver painting of the yellow wings and black walkways will hide. Hopefully painting will start this weekend

Looking really good, Allen.
Its sad the real one was just dumped and never preserved. There was only one prototype ever built.

dingbat 'ding-bat'n: a person who commonly glues airplane wing pylons onto the wrong wing

I did want to prime last weekend. that didn't happen. Obviously, this is still a work in progress.
Good thing I have patience.

Rob, the metal is going to look sweet. I just hope nothing crawled under your masks.
