Okay, I'll join the list of completed builds. Ready for take off. Just finished this nice kit. If it only would be in 1/48 .... But for Russell I made an exception.
I will also upload 2 of these pics in the gallery and soon there will be more photos in my Assembly Line thread ....

Best wishes,

Thanks for your comments, guys! Yes, I think it went quite well, though I'm a total newbie in 1/72.

Ian, that's why I said, I wish it would be in 1/48. Is there any B-25 J on the market with this nose art in that scale?
On the weekend I try to shoot some more photos of this kit and post them in my Assembly Line thread.

Rob-----The Rhino looks really good. I like your work with the stripes on the ordnance. Glad you found your canopy glass too!

Ian

ok, here i am back again with a further update on part 2 of this build for me, the 280 is actually built one little change i made to the kit parts was to replace the front gear doors with parts cut from a beer tin, and i have to say drinking beer is a great way to get modelling materials!

the kit part next to my scratchbuilt part, you can see how thick the plastic actually is, in real life i think it would be about 5 inches thick!

the two parts with mounting straps

how she looks right now, with the new gear doors in place

just needs decals, then a matt coat and a very light weather and its finished!

It looks like there will be another fine model put into the
gallery, Phil, to compliment one of yours and the thirteen others that are already there.
Nice work on the scratch gear doors.

That JU-88 is indeed a beautiful build, Naseby. Now you need to get a couple of photos into the
Gallery .

Naseby,
I don't think photos in the campaign gallery count against your allotment.
Cheers Rob.

Hi everyone - some excellent work been happening I see!
I have a small update kind of connected to this campaign. As I am sure you will remember, way back in February when we started this campaign for Russell, Fred very kindly undertook the task of distributing Russell's kit stash. I was lucky enough to receive 2 kits, a 1/72 Gloster Javelin (see gallery), and the 1/200 Cyber Hobby Avro Vulcan B2. I have just finished the Vulcan for the Big Bad Bombers campaign:

I thought I would post it here as well, seeing as it was one of Russell's kits, and also to take the opportunity to acknowledge Fred's efforts in getting those kits out all over the world. I think we can safely say that this campaign and all Fred's efforts have done Russell proud, as well as showing what a great little worldwide model making community we have here. Cheers Everybody!

A wonderfully brilliant effort on the Vulcan, Lee.
I think that since it was Russell's kit originally, you should pop a couple of photo's of the finished model into our
gallery as well.

Unfortunately they do count

this is why I use photobucket for all my progress shots and the Kitmaker gallery for any finished campaign photos.
The only way to make some space is to either delete older images or resize images to say 800x600 pixels before you upload them in the future.
