Words from the Swedish distributor say that the new Spad will be on the swedish hobbyshelfs in december, still no words from roden about next years models.

Hmmm can't seem to find a dedicated modeler to take on the SE 5a with the Hisso.

Well... I have the S.E.5a Part etched for the Wolseley Viper version but I've never ordered the kit because I'm still fighting with the interior of the Fokker Dr.1 (and my always increasing AMS syndrome).

That would be the Spad VII if I am not mistaken.
Hmmm... I was just being asked the otehr day by my mother what I wanted for xmas... Was there any model that I might like?

Sounds like we have a candidate for a parcel under the tree.

Cheers,

Hugh

Sorry Terri,

Not new, just more of the original to do ribtapes and make up for the material I had to use for the interior.

No worries at all Stephen . I was thinking maybe you sent Eygore down to have a talk about their colours in nice way of course !

So in the kit you don't get the rib taping then ?

The truth is Roden forgot that the interior should be lozenge. Like other manufacturers they simply said paint it. . . Even with that there is not enough to do all the ribs. A bit of math told me I would barely get 1/3 done.

Thanks Stephen, and thanks to all for the support and encouragement! By the way, if I set an example it is for the "Average Modeler", to show what they can do without a whole lot of scratchbuilding. My motto is well done but not to the point that you don't have much of the kit left .Seriously, Brad, Steve, Lars, and others have far surpassed my builds, I just hold up the "Joe Modeller" end of things

Of course, the burning question is, what are we going to do if Roden send you the newly released DVII or (heaven forbid) the BE2c in 1/32 towards the end of Jan?

Cheers,

Hugh

I'm stiring the pot Steve.

I know the D.VII is ona lot of peoples wish lists and the BE2c is on mine.

But seriously, we keep getting these releases and it looks like Stephen is going to have to extend the GB every time that Roden post hime something.

Cheers,

Hugh
