Tony - I don't intend to steal any wind from this campaign, but I will propose a TT campaign for later - Fireflys, Avengers, Battles, Mossies, Meteors, Vampires, Skuas, Defiants, Beaufighters, Skyraiders, Tunnans - you name it - lot's of beautiful aircraft and extra-ordinary paint schemes.

In the meantime, I still wonder what to build for this campaign!!! This, perhaps...

Björn, it's no problem. I already have a S 199 for this, and Target Tugs might be a 2010 campaign, so I have time to find a Firefly.

I found the Mossie, though, but I mistook the pic a bit. It doesn't show much, but if I recollect I did like this because of all the people around. But she's a looker, allright! Those red spinners . . . . .

Thanks Terri..

Now I just have to choose a bird to build! Trumpeter 1/32 P-51B, P-51D? 1/32 Revell Grumman Martlett IV, Spitfire Mk.22, Hawker Hunter?? The list goes on and on! I hate decisions like this..

Okay I'm in too if you'll have me......my still not arrived purchases have plenty options for stripes... Camels, Albi's, DRI's and a couple in the stash Eduard Fokker DVII and lord knows what else, though I do fancy doing Bolle's DRI with the yelow and black bands but wonders if that's stripey enough? If not the last Roden Alb DIII but whether I can carry the red/white stripes off I dunno.

Well Terri, the Mossie is yellow enough, but I already have a nightfighting J 30 Mosquito coming up after the Wurger and the Jug. I will look around though, and if I find something stripier than the 199-rudder I'll switch. But so far, stripes are apparently scarce in my paths.

Warren. Who flew striped Hunters? Hunters are just soooo beautiful. (And there I said it. I've admitted there are cool jets)

Hi Tony.

The British flew Hunters with stripes. The Squadron markings had stripes in them..

Or there is a nice Swiss one as well...

Terri, I read on another thread somewhere that you were moving. Are you still gonna be able to run this campaign? I hope so cause I'm signed up for every aircraft campaign this year but THIS one is the one I've been looking forward to the most. Got my F-16 and all the tiger strip decals ready to go.

Yes Hermon I will be here for this , with in a month I'll be back at the building once more . I don't want to miss out on this one either . Looking forward to building the Pfalz D.IIIa . For some strange reason there just doesn't seem to be enough stripes in the display case

No worries the Campaign will carry on !

Canberras too if you can find a kit. I've seen a great Canberra with black and yellow stripes all over

That could look cool. I remember those flying overhead when I was a kid in primary school. I lived next to the main military airport outside Copenhagen. Looked like a big toy plane due to the colours.

Is there a limit on the number of enteries?

If not, then my rule will be.....

There will be no max on the number of enteries per person.

Just a thought.

Yup! That swiss Hunter is cool. However, we swedes are too often mixed with the swiss (perhaps only by the yanks), so I will pass on that. I've been looking on more blackandyellow stuff, and there's a lot. I might even find something to siut me better than the Mule. We'll see. I like Pennys thought, though. No limit!

I just wanted to let everybody know I haven't changed my mind. I will still be doing the D.VII. With all the beautiful pictures you all are coming up with, I have been enticed to do something else. Wow, this will be a good campaign.

If you are really hard up looking for something to build remember that every RAF, SAAF, RAAF and IAF military aircraft have flashs on their tails.. They are stripes..

I am looking for some advice. I was thinking about doing the Wyvern from the stash or maybe now is the time to break new ground and try something from WWI. I have no bi-planes. Any recomendations for 1:48 scale?

Hi Terri & all!

I overlooked this Campaign as I tough it to be a stricktly WWI theme, not quite my bag even though I do like WWI stuff!

Boy, how wrong I was!

After reading trough the entire tread so far and seeing all those wonderful striped aircrafts I certainly will embark on this Campaign!

D-day stripes, tiger stripes, Suez stripes, ANY stipes.... , what a difficult decision this will be!

Terri, I salute you!

You have coosen such an exciting and colorful theme, this is exactly what I love to model!

Cheers!
