I've had a bit of play with colours for my se5a.

Here's what I've come up with.

What you all think? Red wings perhaps?

Here is the original

Hey there Jaypee , you could be on to something there . The colour on the wings is lighter then the fusealge for sure and would apprea they are blue . Do you know what the unit markings are for this bird ? However what happened to the Fokker D.VII you where planning on doing ?

Warren , that guy has his hands full with that one !

Oh I'll likely do that too. Just saw this scheme and it is too good to turn down.

On the site I found it on it said it was 141 squadron but I got some help on
aerodrome
http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/aircraft/39384-se5a-colours-question.html
It is usaac but I don't know the unit.

I'll be using the revell 1/72 se5a but anyone else wants to do the same or
similar bird don't hold back. The more the merrier. The wingnut kit will
sure look good in those feathers.

Most excellent Jaypee , I was just over on the drome the link was down for Areoscale . Even though I don't care for the SE5a . I do have one of Rodens boxing in 48 scale so this scheme would fit it just fine .

Wow jaypee....stripes is an understatement I think....

wingnut SE5a and LVG on the way....but is that a wolsey viper or hissi crate?

And yes Wingnuts looks...no...it IS a dangerous place for those with a weak grip on their pursestrings.....even now I want to add the Bristol to my order. The old airfix kit was my first fav WWI A/c

Well guys we have four more days until the start .

Jaypee , both builds would be great to see you do for this campaign . I'm planning on doing two as well but not for sure on that yet . Still have to finish my 190 for that campaign and i'm falling behind on that one .

I haven't forgotten but I am a campaign behind, so drastic action, bought the Eduard DVIIF tho it does have a choice of Fuselage parts for another possible version. Don't like the Hermann Goering colours so will look for a stripy alternative, (Udet?, Loerzer?). The F2B will have to wait for another campaign

Wooops. Andrew says he's one campaign behind. I have a P 47 and a Wurger and a Mossie to finish before I can even think of my Avia. And spring just hit me with the biiig hammer. But fear not, rain will pour as usual in sweden in May, so I got lots of time.

So a 1/48 Triplane will now be my entry

I have started on my build after spending a beautiful week golfing on Hilton Head Island. That makes three builds in various states of incompletion. I started my D.VII, by decaling the wings. Now I have many, many, many, rib tapes to put on. Might as well do something while waiting for those Wingnuts kits to come in, eh Terri

My four kits came on Friday.. :-) But they are way down the list of builds at the moment. Got at least five others to finish first.

Please bear in mind that this is my first ever modern plane!
It has swing wings, but the quality is not the best, however I am quite happy with the kit in general
