Tigerbait - Nice work on the B-25. I like the weathering (and the nose art!)
No pictures from me, but I did manage to finish up all the sanding and rescribing on my Hase P-38 this weekend. I know it's all part of the hobby, but sometimes I'd LOVE to subcontract out that work...heh heh. Anyways....I should be able to get her primed and to the paint shop this week.

I still haven't scribed a kit, nor do I want too... *looks at older kits in stash with weary eyes*
Justin: Is there a size requirement for the pin-up art? I just discovered that the fuselage for the Hellcat I wanted to depict is pretty warped around the tail and nose, but there is another fuselage for a different plane with smaller nose art that fits together with no problems.

OK, some progress being made on the P-38 Lightning. I had to replace the trailing edge strake on the outer wing as it was damaged severly during glue up. The wing pieces do not line and the strake was thin to began with and the glue ate it up.
The inserts for the turbosuperchargers was next. The cooling intake shrouds are a bit on the large size so I scraped and sanded them down to their proper shape. Also opened up a small vent hole. The white portion is sheet plastic for filler to adjust the fit.
Still aiming for the final extended deadline but trying to make it to the Warner-Robbins show Oct 23.

Made some progress finally with the engine booms on the P-38. Still tough work to get it to fit.
One
Two
With any luck I'll have the seams and steps cleaned up soon and start painting. The canopy pieces are almost drop-fit.

Looking good, Joe.
I'm just a little ahead of you. Primer is on, and I found some spots that needed correction with CA glue and more sanding.
My windscreen did not fit at all. When level with the sides of the cockpit, the front of the base of the windscreen stuck up well above the fuselage. So more sanding and filling was needed to blend it in, during which I cracked the canopy (at least not into the transparent part). So...more fill and sand. Someday I will get to paint and put my lovely lady decal on!

I just got the replacement guns for my build in today. Now I can finally get the wings together and prep them for installation and painting. If I can get the blasted PE to start behaving in the cockpit, then I can get all of that together and assemble the plane. Wish me luck and look for primer this week, and maybe some nice paint if all goes well...

Nice looking B-17 Sam!
Engine booms are on, fitted and smoothed out. Painting soon, just need to install the windscreen and rear canopy.
