Well Justin, your first post has set the tone perfectly. Nicely done. I will be starting my P-61 in the next week or so, and I think this Campaign promises to put forward some super schemes.

Good luck to all participants, and BRING ON THE PIN-UPS !!!

Cheers, D

I'm in but don't know with what yet. I'll dig into the model pile and decal bins and make a decision from there.

Might even do a second subject along the same lines. It'll be fun.

Uh-Oh Todd, I hope you don't mind, but I've had my Hasegawa B-25J all washed and sitting waiting for the start date. I was planning on doing it OOB, decals and all, so it will certainly look different from yours. I hope you don't mind another in the Campaign, but I really was looking forward to building her. I don't have one in the case yet. On the other hand, it will be nice to compare notes. I've been really busy of late, but did manage to get a few smaller bits hand-painted this morning - you know, the kind of stuff you'll probably never see once it's closed up. I won't have time to work on her this weekend, but hope to have some startup pics to post by next week.

Cheers,
Mike

Hermon, I'm shocked. I thought you were a gentleman !!

From the look of your decal set there you will have more bare flesh than Olive Drab

But I am a gentleman D! Look closely, those decals are NOT of your sister. THOSE I'll save for my B-24.

Sorry mate, here -

Hi all!

As we were two to build the "Too Big and 2 Heavy/Shortsnorter", and planned to use the exact same kit, with the same decals, in the same scale, I have decided to change my subject!
So I have moved this build (still unstarted) to the P-47 Campaign "Dressed to kill"!

I´ll build this instead;

Still untoched by any man;

Etch (pre-painted), resin and decals included;

Well, now it shouldn´t be so hard to figure out what specific aircraft I want to build!

Sorry, Hermon, But this is a different kit in a different scale (1/32), hope you Don´t mind!

The decals comes from Zotz and are very nice, perfectly printed and accurate!

Nice, eh?

Cheers!

I've looked through the Zotz decal sheet I have and I've decided which B-17 I'm going to do. It's going to be a B-17F The Shamrock Special. This on appealed to me as it has 3, yes 3, pin-ups and the two different shades of OD would make it interesting.

The kit I'm going to use is the 1/72 Academy kit.

And I'm also going to include the detail sets from Legend Productions.

Can't wait for my leg to get better, clear my back log of kits and get started on this

I've decided also, my entry will be the Tamiya 1/48 P-51D with Staf Car kit. I'll be building this one out of the box and just the kit decals for Blondie flown by Lt. Marvin W Arthur of the 334th FS, 4th FG.

Heres some more progress shots.Got everything painted and detailed and all the PE done and the cockpit is assembled.I tried something new this time and made a seat cushion.Picked it up from another person I think it was the beautiful Bombers campaign I will check and make sure he is mentioned...Think it turned out pretty well..what do you think?

Justin, as usual you are off and running at near light speed. You will be finished before I even open my kit !! Very nice work so far.

The cushion idea was from Torsten (BlackWidow), method is on page 3 of the Twin Booms Campaign thread.

Stefan, I have that same kit in my stash, so I will be watching your build here VERY carefully.

And Sam, 3 Pin-Ups on 1 kit, you have legend status in my book.

Cheers all, and as the man says BUILD ON !!
