Hi all!
As we were two to build the "Too Big and 2 Heavy/Shortsnorter", and planned to use the exact same kit, with the same decals, in the same scale, I have decided to change my subject!
So I have moved this build (still unstarted) to the P-47 Campaign "Dressed to kill"!
I´ll build this instead;
Stefan E
First, my apologies to Stefan, I didn't know he wanted to build the same thing!
Next, I understand that I'm not allowed to enter the same model in more than one campaign. My mistake AGAIN!
Next next, Stefan you dirty rat, you took my next choice! Toche!! (Just kidding about the dirty rat thing.)
So, since I still have a T'bolt Jones, my choice for this campaign:
Rozzie Geth/Boche Buster, flown by Fred Christensen, 62nd FS/56th FG. Obviously, the Trumpeter 1/32 P-47D Razorback. Also untouched (well, I may have fondeled the plastic.)
Ha ha, let the games begin!!

Hi Michael!
No need for any excuses whatsoever, and Please don´t be angry on me!
These things do happen!
Only shows that You have excellently good taste!
Please, build the `Bolt as you intended to!
I´d love to see your build, and compare as we go!
But you can only have ONE kit per Campaign!
Well, you can build several kits during the same Campaign, but you only get one ribbon!
But one specific kit can only be in one Campaign, that´s correct!
If that had been allowed my (our) P-47 could have participated in; Aluminium, Pin-Up, and P-47 "Dressed to kill" campaigns.
Three ribbons for one model!
No, that´s not the idea!
I just moved my P-47 to another Campaign; P-47 "Dressed to kill", so It´s all clear, and I still get to build her!
It´s perfectly allowed to build exactly the same kit (Heck, ALL of us could do the same kit if we wanted to!), but I do love the diversity in a Campaign, with many different aircrafts!
Cheers!

Excellent poster, Justin!!
Already some nice builds starting in this campaign. Still no time for me to get started, but I will get there later. I just have to finish my B-17 first for the aluminium campaign.
Looking forward to get started and to see more naked skin... I mean see interesting models... I mean the plastic model ones... Honestly

Well I've decided to build the Hobby Boss 1/48 F-105D and use the kit stickers for "Pussy Galore II". I also have the Albatross and Cutting Edge Decals for this and the first "Pussy Galore" in silver dope. That was too much work so I'll do the easy one in the SEA scheme.

Hi Justin,
I have quite a few kits to choose from but my personal favorite is the P-47, I have about 10 decal sets ready to go hat have some sort of Pin-up markings on them.
I think I will do a 1/48 tamiya P-47M with the following markings:

Made a start today on my P-39. Cockpit is done and I'll hopefully get the airframe and wings glued together tonight. Test fitting thusfar has shown this to be a really nice and trouble free kit.

OK, my infamous lack of concentration has taken over again.
Question, does the artwork have to be on the fuselage or can it be placed somewhere else on the aircraft, but still quite prominent?
I'll tell you my idea if the powers-that-be say I can use it
Michael

Hi all
Started my Academy P-47N with the Eduard zoom set ,
Added the ht leads from copper wire and the harness? from solder on the engine, not perfect but most will be hidden when then the cowl goes on.
The oxygen hose was replaced with guitar string and the ducts /conduit on the floor are solder
Cockpit is Tamiya XF-58 Olive green with a black wash and Mig Pigment P036 Allied green (fading) for the highlights,a pencil was used for the worn metal
The ED set is lovely and really easy to use and looks great when installed.
I'm going to use Aztec models superb sheet 024 "pin up jugs" Red E Ruth
More pics soon

70 hour work weeks and the flu have seriously put a dent in my workbench time, but here is my P-39 currently. I'm gonna throw some paint on her today and see what happens.
D, Lady in the Dark is looking mighty fine. LOVE the cockpit and all the drybrushing you've done so far.
