Got back on it a little bit last night. Attached the landing gear and worked on other little bits.
The antenna attachment to the canopy.
Up on its legs.
P-38J
If the Much Better Half doesn't want to watch a movie tonite then I'll get some time in on it. Maybe get the wheels and props finished and attached.

Looking great Viper! I still have a bit of catch-up to do. Hopefully work won't be as demanding this week so I can actually have a chance to catch up to you.

OK, after all sorts of difficulty of construction, setbacks, floor installation and life in general the Hasegawa 1/48 P-38J is done.
The model depicts a P-38J from the 80th FS in the Pacific. The right ammo bay door represents artwork from a stricken aircraft.
Barring any disasters or fat-fingered fumbles I'll be taking this to the Anniston, AL and IPMS Metro Atlanta shows. Come by and join the fun.

Joe:
It looks great!
I hope you bring it to the IPMS Northman meeting tonight.
However, You need a better background!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. I'll try to get more pics up on Photobucket in the next few days. Maybe with a good background to boot.
Thanks Justin for the ribbon and waiting patiently for me to muddle thru this monster and other stuff. Next Pin-up campaign I'll find something easy to do. Maybe go back to the F-105. Ordering the resin cockpit would have been faster in the long run.
Fiber Optic, good one Bill.

I agree, that was really worth the wait

Awesome job Joe ! As the other guys have said this one was well worth the wait for sure.
Yours might just be the only build where the actual Pin-Up made an appearance on more than 1 aircraft as well.
Cheers, D
