Hey Tom! Hang in there! I had issues with my build too... wanted to chuck it in a corner some nights for sure! You've got plenty of time, at least that's what I keep telling myself!

Well, everything is relative, although you have a point. But compared to a Bf 109 cockpit, the B-17 fuselage is wide open
I have started on my entry for this campaign. The Revell 1/48 P-47. Now that is one big canvas to get some very nice ladies on
It seems like a very good kit although I think some filling will be needed for the wing roots. There is a wide range of stores included and some nice weighted tyres.
The details in the cockpit are also OK although difficult to see from my pictures.
Very nice for a cheap reboxing.
The decals for one of the versions in the kit is at least made for this campaign.
More to follow soon.
Jesper
Not a bad kit for its price and age the only thing I did not like is the way the undercarriage fits as it gets in the way as you continue with the rest of the build.
Here's mine.
Martin.

Hmmm.. I was thinking just the opposite Jesper..

Felipe- That's fantastic work on your cokpit. I particularly like what you did with the floor.
Thanks to all for the moral support.
I had another go last night with trying to undo the damage, but the starboard nacelle and tailfin are just too far gone. On the P-38, it will be obvious if I haven't been able to get everything back in alignment. That, and the tailfin actually shrunk....can't fix that!
Good news is that a friend will be able to provide a spare kit. I'm not happy with using a perfectly good kit as a donor, but I'd be less happy not finishing and having a nice Pin-Up ribbon.

Hey wait for me!
Back and bench and cracking on with my entry.
Quick photo of the cockpit.
The fusalage is closed up now and the wings are on.
Just a small amount of seam work to do and then I shall hopefully get some paint thrown at this over the next couple of days.

Great cockpit, Felipe. The details are great.
Tom, hope you will be able to save your build with the new parts. Looking forward to see more.
You made a beautiful build, Martin. I hope mine turns out as good as yours.

It's a bit hard to tell what that is that you're building there Nige.
Hold on. something tells me that it may be some sort of P-47ish thingy

Work has continued on Blondie over the last few weekends. The Masks arrived from Mal so i got to work with them first
First part of the mask are applied and the white sprayed on
White parts are masked and the the blue is applied
The same was done with with the codes using black and red
then a coat of Klear/Future was applied all over and the rest of the decals were put on
Finally after some liberal application of some MicroSol the decals had settled down nicely and another coat of Klear applied ready for the oil wash this weekend
Just to whet your appetites heres a shot of the nose art.
As always comments, suggestions or critique is always welcomed

Very nice work to everyone. Pin-Ups is right up my alley! I plan on getting started on my submission to the build with one of my own decals sheets for the Trumpeter 1/32 P-38
I will be casting new prop blades from the old Revell kit, but other than that it will be an OOB build.

The decals shown are the 1/48 scale, but since I am the manufacture of them I have both scales. Here is a nice pin-up I just completed on the Revell 1/144 747-400. Since no decals were available for this aircraft I made my own. I designed them in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, printed the decals on my bubble jet print as per the instructions on the blank decal paper.

Mike
Those Virgin Atlantic decals look absolutely superb on that airliner. A great job; Well Done
Sometimes I wish I wasn't so computer stupud, so I could learn to do that.
Alas, I have to settle for the easy way out.

Hi All,
I will soon begin making galleries for campaigns that do not have one yet.
I will see if one is needed myself but for faster service, please PM if this campaign needs one.

I've started on my project though it will be a bit slow and sporadic at the moment while I finish up some other work.
Also I've changed from the F-105D to a P-38J. After a test fit of the Hobby Boss Thud cockpit I decided to go with resin and also decided to do it later when more time is available.
Still undecided on the finish. Might be OD/NG or NMF.
