so the hits keep comin'! Haha! Yesterday afternoon I finally had some time to sit down and get some work done after spain managed to win the WC... anyhoo, I pulled out one of the squadron vac-formed canopies and painstakingly cut it out and sanded the edges to perfection only to test fit it and find that its slightly, but noticeably to large! GRRR!

so tonight I pilfered a canopy from one of my other kits, its been dipped in future and is curing at the moment. Tommorow I hope to find that the Eduards masks that I purchased work brilliantly!

so, does anyone know anybody that might want some 1/45 canopies???

well at first I thought I might have gotten lucky, and I'd be able to cut the thing to fit and replace my damaged Harrier glass, but that too was a big NO-GO...

anyhoo... the Future is nicely hardened and I've put down the first bit of mask. I have to say that so far I think this might be the way I do all my canopies until I develope some better skills...

Very nice work on the interior, Sam. Well worth the effort with so much visible through the openings in the fuselage.

Looking forward to see more

Some great work and work-in-progress going on here, ladies and gents!

Warren - your B-17 turned out very nice.
Samantha - That's a great amount of detail you are putting in - especially for 1:72. Keep up the good work!

I'm starting late due to other commitments, but am still moving ahead with a 1:48 Hasegawa P-38H dressed up as "Thoughts of Midnite." Dry fitting the kit reveals a lot of problem areas. Hope I'm up to it, but at least the scheme isn't NMF!

Here's my cockpit...calling it done with some Eduard belts and some scrap bits:

Keep it up, all!

Well, everything is relative, although you have a point. But compared to a Bf 109 cockpit, the B-17 fuselage is wide open

I have started on my entry for this campaign. The Revell 1/48 P-47. Now that is one big canvas to get some very nice ladies on

It seems like a very good kit although I think some filling will be needed for the wing roots. There is a wide range of stores included and some nice weighted tyres.
The details in the cockpit are also OK although difficult to see from my pictures.
Very nice for a cheap reboxing.

The decals for one of the versions in the kit is at least made for this campaign.

More to follow soon.

AAAARGH!
I may have killed my entry.
I'm working on the Hasegawa 1/48 P-38H, and was trying to correct the warping of the starboard nacelle and fin using boiling water. While immersing the rear of the nacelle in water, I dropped it in. DOH. ')
By the time I got a glove and pulled it out, it was warped in every way imaginable. I have been unable to return it to the state of the original.

Will work on more salvage efforts tonight, but I may have to switch to a J/L model with different nose art since I can rob the ncelles from another kit (no spare F/G/H's lying around . At least then the cockpit work won't go to waste.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.....
