Sorry it’s been awhile since my last posting, we have some health issues at home. The wife has been sick since early July, she has her days be we’re moving forward. Anyhow here is my finished entry.

Happy Modeling,
Joe

Ditto what Justin said. You sure can make un ugly plane look like a show winner Joe.
Hope everything works out for the better for your wife and the rest of the family.

Hi Jeremy,

Another Stormovik! Brilliant choice (and your one's got ski's)!

The IL-2 was the most produced aircraft of WWII, it's now fast becoming the most produced aircraft of this Campaign! Panzers are being taken out of display cases and hidden in drawers or cuppards as we speak...

What scale is your model???

Eoin

Sounds like those drawers and cupboards are getting quite cozy

My kit is 1/48 and is the earlier single cockpit without the gunner in the back. I'm hoping to make a small base with snow to set my IL-2 in, I just need to figure out how to realistically depict packed snow.

Is there a campaign gallery for this campaign? I've just finished a Harrier GR3 and have started a Sturmovik.

thanks

Well ... quite a lot of work done on the Apache ... I scrapped the upgrade idea for the time being ... I can't get the new exhausts worked out so ... here we go ...
1/48 AH-64D Apache Hasegawa, Aires cockpit set ... I have added some extra detail to the cockpit , replaced the fuselage strakes with thin strip, added exhaust vents between the engines, replaced all grab handles with wire, added wire to the radar dome, re-wired the Hellfire launchers, wired the 30mm cannon and drilled out the barrel ... so far ... LOL

Looks great, Todd. Very nice work on cockpit and weapons.
Looking forward to see more.

I am finally starting on my entry for this campaign. The old Revell/Monogram 1/48 Stuka D. Work has actually already progressed a bit.

Currently I am going through all my references to find out what camouflage and markings to use.

More to follow soon.

Some progress on my Stuka. The construction is almost finished. The cockpit is very basic, so I am considering adding a few pilots.

Right now I am considering making this aircraft either as a standard German aircraft "Bärli" or as a Hungarian aircraft.

Hi folks,

Almost there with my Sturmovik:

All I have to do is add the weapons, decals and then put some air miles on this bad boy!

@ Simon- hope you're doing okay in Queensland

We're doing fine thanks Eoin, I'm in Brisbane which has had localised flooding but nothing like some communities elsewhere in the state. The recent drought has ended in a very big way. Hopefully we'll be able to help those affected in some way.

Your camo painting has come out really well. Nice sharp lines between the colours and a realistic looking pattern.

Having finished the Sturmovik I've been digging around in the stash for my next build. Not sure why, but I feel like putting together this Hs-129, and as it qualifies for this campaign, I thought I might as well post my progress.

It isn't up to the Hasegawa kit, so I'm going to improve it by replacing the raised panel lines with recessed (first time I've tried this ) and I'll use decals from my spares as the kit decals are way off register.

Cheers, Simon

Ok, both my builds are in the gallery now, a Harrier GR3 and a Sturmovik (one had to be done!). I might build another if I get time as I still have another Harrier GR3 and a GR5 in my stash,

thanks

I'll be getting started with my build here shortly. After looking at the detail on this, I think this is going to be a fun build. Now, I just hope the kit doesn't let me down. I'll be splitting my time between this and about a gazillion other campaigns I signed on for... "Q"

Well, the kit tried to throw me a curveball. It had a nice seam right down the middle of both canopy's. I was able to sand it off, then buff them out again. After a quick dunk in some future they look 110% better. They are curing/drying now. I cleaned up all the cockpit parts and dry fit them. Detail looks good for 1/72. Will add some lap and should belts and start cleaning up the rest of it tomorrow. More to follow soon. "Q"
