Get in to the hangars and pull out the hangar queens. Dust off that kit from the stacks you have dreamed about doing. Crack the box on the new kit and begin prepping a list of things you want to do. Clear your desk for action and read the instructions.

This GB will give everyone a chance to clear their desks and finish projects on building boards and in the stacks of all partially built or inprogress builds and even start new projects. But more than a GB I want to put you and your builds up to the manufacturers. This will show them your works so they can add them to their website, Facebook and etc locations. I will ask them for their input see if we can get them to step up with awards of their own. There are no garuantees to this.

Please be prepared to post your blogs in the Early Aviation forum. We will use the title:

KotS GB 2011 (type of kit Alb. D.V, Fok. D.VII, Sop.F.1 or ,SE 5a for examples) then your call sign. (JackFlash, Red04, CaptainA for examples).

I would be joining this campaign with a 1/48 Eduard Fokker D.VII. I hope to be able to do a good job on the Lozenge decals. I have 5 of these in the stash, so about time I start building one of them.

I got Mirage's Schusta/Schlasta 27b Halberstadt Cl.II kit from the Toy Fair and as i am sitting on my packed stuff here in my new flat I had to ( ) start a new kit so I gave the Mirage kit a try.



Not an easy kit, but doable (I hope) No thread yet and I am not sure I can do one as I still have the move of my furniture and books from Karlsruhe to Hannover ahead of me .. so my time is very limited between work and moving stuff.

Just to note. When a build is finished I will give it some hang time as a sticky for everyone to view. Then after about 2-3 days I will unsticky the thread. This just makes room for more builders.

Also noting threads that have not been active for a month or so I will unsticky them to make room on the front page here as well. BUT! you can access your thread through the list I have above and up date it at any time to keep it stickied. And now we are Live with 40 sign ups! As of this date there are 28 completed builds. Warren Inman has thrown himself into the GB heart and mind with 11 completed builds. We are over half way to the finish. With summer come to a close I am hoping that we will see an upsurge in builds.

We should consider awarding Him with a special ribbon "for the currage in the face of enemy shown on the battlefield".
