Thanks guys
and I hope to see that finished Zero before too long Mike
And Lap Man have fun that that beast, I just finished a 1/72 Dragon Sea Vixen FAW.1 for the Dragon OOB campaign and it came with about 100 decals.. lol
Trevor interesting looking markings on that 109, as for the decals have to tried making a cross stencil and then airbrushing it in. Hope to see more.
Kenneth I bow to your skills, someday I hope to get my aircraft up to that level. Looks great to my eye..
and btw I've been teaching myself airbrushing for about 8 years now. I got the single color down, and I've built several aircraft using masking techniques. But this is my first attempt at any freehand work on an aircraft. and thanks for the comments..

Trevor------Great looking 109 and good choice in regards to the markings.
Kenneth---Great looking 109 as well. Detail work you did is amazing.
Metodi----The -39 is beautiful and your weathering is outstanding.
Delbert----Great final finish. You really did make a silk purse out of that kit.
Mike-----Zero looks awesome and great job with the paint chipping.
Best wishes, Ian

Thanks for the comments, as for foreign flagged aircraft. I have several slowly building up a collection. Mainly German a/c, yeah I know I am a bigot in regards to other country a/c. The Germans just have the more colourful a/c schemes.

Zero is done! Got home form work, put her on her legs for the first time and promptly busted off a gear door actuator. Fixing this and touching up a few details took a couple minutes. Overall Im happy with this build. My efforts at varying panel shades is pretty much invisible as the green turned out darker than Id hoped for. There is much more weathering than Id planned for but Fortunately the weathering and stripes broke up the surface and made it much more interesting. This is pic I snapped with my lousy cell, Ill work on some better pics for the gallery this evening

All Right!
I managed to get this one done It came out pretty good considering this is only my third build in almost 30 years and my third build using an airbrush as well as my first with a natural metal finish.
Here are some pics, first the masking and painting of the canopy then the finished build.
Cheers Rob.

Mike,
The Zero looks Great!
Thanks guys for all the comments It looks good in the photo but not quite as good up close. Some of the decals did not meet and some broke around the edges and I have no blue for touchups.
I am pleased with the way it turned out and may not have finished if not for this campaign.
Delbert,
I am feeling comfortable with the airbrush but have not done any camo yet.
Thanks for a Great Campaign! Lots of Great models and participants!
Cheers Rob.

Hi All
I've awarded the ribbons to all of those that have posted in the campaign gallery. There are however a couple of issues.
EmporoR and Itb073 you are not enlisted on the campaign so I'm unable to award you ribbons until you enlist. (The link to enlist can be found on the first post of this thread)
Blueheeler, Epshifty and eMan could you please upload a photo of you models with out any bombs on, as this breaks rule one of the campaign and makes your model illegible for a campaign ribbon.
Thank you all for a great campaign out of the 68 enlistees we had 28 completed entries. I don't envy Allen having to format all those pictures for the campaign feature

My Calsign "EmperoR" is in the chart in the first post. Otherways i cant find how to enlist
Posted: Saturday, November 03, 2012 - 02:10 AM UTC
In the very first post above the table there is a link 'Enlist Here' you need to click on that which will take you to the campaign sign up page and click the enlist button on the sign up page.
The table was only done so myself and Allen could try and keep a rough track of who had started building not who had enlisted on the campaign sign up page
